Calling all Tuna Wrap Peeps! You know who you are?!?! The ones that basically get the can of tuna, drain it and slap it in the tortilla. If we are being honest some of you just get it down and don't really enjoy it. Well... we have news for you! We have some great ideas that are going to make your tuna not only more enjoyable but you are going to think twice before eliminating it off of your meal plan.
This FUN Tuna Boat is the best! If you do not have carbs in your meal plan or your snack that has turned into a meal this is a great way to make your heart happy!
Ingredients:
1 Can of Tuna
2 oz. Avocado
1 Tbsp. Chopped Red or White Onion
Romaine Lettuce Leaves (serving size can vary)
29 grams of Cheddar Cheese (1/2 of serving that is allocated in your meal plan)
***Keep in mind you can add any misc. vegetables in your mix to add to your vegetable serving and to enhance your flavors
Alternative Ways to Serve this Tuna Recipe:
Carb Chopper Tortilla (try toasting this in the toaster oven for a tuna melt)
Corn Tortillas
Ole' Traditional Sandwich (with approved bread options)
Tuna Salad (if you have tortillas - make chips as posted on previous blog posts)
Cucumber Chips (use the tuna as a dip)
Cucumber Boats (slice the cucumbers horizontally and remove the center seeds and fill)
