White, Brown Or Jasmine!!!
Yes those are the types of rice that are approved - often times we need a little somthing extra to add some variety! Making some minor changes and additions are really going to elevate your meal experience. Below you will find my go to for my rice!!!!! It make a HUGE difference and you can say goodbye to flavorless rice forever!
Garlic Cilantro Lime Rice
Rice (white, brown or jasmine)
1-2 "juicy" limes
3-4 garlic cloves
1/4 cup minced white onion
1 tablespoon of finely chopped cilantro
Optional: Herb Ox Sodium Free Chicken Bouillion (product posted in blog)
In a frying pan using your approved spray oil sauté minced garlic and white onion. Add this to your rice water then add fresh lime juice from your limes and your finley chopped cilantro. Cooked your rice as directed there you have an AWESOME twist to your rice!
This rice is sure to enhance whatever meal you are cooking. Another idea is adding this rice to a nice salad is always good as well.
Added Tip: If you are a lime and citrus lover you and always add some lime zest for that added taste.
