Shredded Chicken Adovada.... Say Goodbye to Dry Chicken FOREVER!!!

Are you tired of dry chicken? It doesn't have to be!!!! We have a "tender" chicken adovada recipe that is sure to be a game changer in your meal prepping! This takes only a couple minutes to prepare as you are going to put all of this "yummyness" in your Crock Pot or Instant Pot.

Ingredients:

5-6 Garlic Cloves (minced)

3-4 Chicken Breasts

1/4 cup White Onion (minced)

1 Packet of "Herb Ox" Sodium Free Chicken Bouillon (as shown on previous blog post)

New Mexico Red Chile Powder (heat level as desired)

Directions:

Sauté Garlic and Onion in frying pan with spray oil - this will become a paste-like consistency. Add this to your Crock Pot or Instant Pot with your water (mid level). Add your chicken breast, Sodium Free Bouillon and New Mexico Red Chile Powder (about a 1/2 cup or as desired). Slow cook until ready and shredded accordingly. For convenience you can put half of your batch in the freezer with juice and take it out as needed.

Add-On Items:

  • Add cilantro for another added flavor profile

  • If you are not a fan of Red Chile add Chopped Green Chile instead of New Mexico Red Chile Powder.

Serving Ideas:

  • Shredded Meat for your salads

  • Flat Shredded Chicken Enchiladas

  • Shredded Chicken Tacos

  • Smothered Shredded Chicken Burrito

Important Tip: Anytime you are cooking meat or even beans in broth or water make sure to weigh your food WITHOUT the juice or liquid. We want to ensure you are getting the full volume of food we have allocated in your meal plans. Once everything is weighed appropriately you can add juice or broth into your food and it does not have to be weighed.
