For those of us that have that sweet tooth, I have come up with this healthier version of skillet fried apples. Try this sweet seasonal treat to take turn your summer apples into a warm seasonal treat!
Skillet Fried Apples
Ingredients:
1 Medium Sized Apple (any flavor)
3 packets of stevia in the raw (or your choice of artificial sweetener)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 oz walnuts (or approved nuts of your choice)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
non stick butter flavored spray
I can't believe it's not butter spray
Peel and cut your apple into slivers. Coat skillet or pan with non stick butter flavored spray. Add fresh apples and spray some I can't believe it's not butter on apples. Fry apples until they start to soften, then add lemon juice, cinnamon, stevia packets and walnuts to pan. Add 2 tablespoons of water to apples to add more moisture to apples. EAT and ENJOY!!!!!
